1. About Shopify connection

Connecting your Shopify store lets Promer pull your products in automatically, no manual uploads needed. Once connected, your product images and details are ready to use across Ad Clone, Ad Prompt, and other creative tools.

  • Import in one click: pull product images and details from your store without uploading them one by one.
  • Stay in sync: your Promer product list reflects your Shopify catalogue, so you're always working with current content.
  • Start creating immediately: skip product setup and go straight to generating ad creatives.

2. Connect by installing the Promer app

The quickest way to connect is directly from the Shopify App Store. Installing the Promer app for the first time starts the connection flow automatically.

  1. Go to the Shopify App Store and search for Promer AI Ads Creative. Click Install.
  2. Promer checks whether you have existing workspaces and responds in one of two ways:

  • If you have no workspaces yet: Promer creates a new Free workspace and connects your store automatically. You'll go straight to onboarding, no extra steps needed.
  • If you have existing workspaces: A "Connect your store to a workspace" modal appears. Each workspace shows one of these statuses:

Status

Description

Available (Read to connect)

Free plan, not yet linked to any store

Connected (Alread in use)

Free plan, already connected to another store

Unavailable

Paid plan - billing runs through Promer, not Shopify

Don't close this modal without selecting a workspace. If you dismiss it, Promer automatically creates a new Free workspace and connects your store to it. Shopify Payments will manage billing for this workspace.

  1. Select an Available workspace, or click + Create workspace to make a new one.
  2. Click Connect. Promer starts importing your products immediately.

Already installed? You'll see an Open button on the App Store page instead of Install. Click it to go straight to Promer inside Shopify, the workspace connection modal will open if your store isn't connected yet.

3. Connect from inside Promer

If you've already installed the app but haven't connected a store yet, you can start the connection from your Products page.

  1. Go to Products in the left sidebar.
  2. Click Import from Shopify in the top-right corner. A panel will slide open.
  3. Click the Connect button next to the Shopify option. This opens the Shopify App installation flow, then returns you to the workspace selection modal.
  4. Select or create a workspace, then click Connect. See the workspace status guide in Section 2 above if you're unsure which to choose.

On a paid plan? The Connect button will be greyed out. Shopify connection isn't available on paid workspaces because billing works differently. Create a new Free workspace to connect your store, or contact support if you need help.

Only one workspace? Promer connects your store to it automatically, you won't see the workspace selection modal.

4. Disconnect your Shopify store

You can remove the Shopify connection from your import panel at any time. This doesn't delete your workspace, it only removes the store link and the products imported from it.

Just want to switch to a different store? Each workspace connects to one store at a time. Disconnect the current store first, then reconnect with the new one or create a new workspace and connect the second store there

  1. Go to Products and click your store name button on the top-right corner to open the import panel.
  2. Your connected store appears with a Connected badge. Click the [⋮] menu icon, then click Disconnect.
  3. A confirmation modal appears. Read the warning, then click Disconnect to confirm. This step cannot be reversed.
  4. Wait for Promer to finish removing the store and its products. Click Got it when complete.

This action is permanent and cannot be undone.Once you disconnect, all Shopify-imported products are removed immediately. Download or note any product details you need before continuing.

Disconnect button not available? If your workspace billing runs through Shopify Payments, disconnecting from inside Promer isn't possible, the button will appear greyed out. To remove the connection, uninstall the Promer app from your Shopify admin instead, or contact support for help.
