1. What is Ad Prompt

Turn your own ideas into polished, high-performing ad creatives effortlessly with Ad Prompt.

• Describe the product, scene, tone, and messaging you want
• Get full control over the look, feel, and direction of your creatives
• Optionally add a product image or reference ad for more accurate results

2. Add a product image and reference ad

These inputs are optional but help AI generate more accurate results.

• Click Add product image to include your product in the creative. You can select an existing product from your Shopify store or upload a new one.
• Click Add reference ad to upload a template you'd like AI to use as a visual guide. This helps match the layout and style of your output to an existing creative structure.

3. Describe your ad idea

Write a prompt describing how you want your ad to look. Include details such as colors, layout, text style, and mood.

The more specific you provide, the closer the results will match your vision.

Example prompt

"Clean product shot of a vitamin C serum on white marble. Soft natural lighting. Bold headline about glowing skin. Bright, fresh color palette with orange and white."

Get ad ideas

Not sure what to write? If you've added a product image, click ✦ Get ad ideas to explore creative directions for your ad.

Once you click Get ad ideas, a "Creative ideas for your ad" panel will appear with 5 AI-generated suggestions. Each suggestion includes:

• Tag: highlights a key product angle (symbolic, emotional, functional)
• Message: the main idea for your headline or tagline
• Visual: a description of the scene, composition, and overall look

Use a suggested idea

Found one you like? Click Create prompt on that suggestion. AI will generate a detailed, ready-to-use prompt based on the concept. The full prompt will appear in the panel.

Then, click Use this prompt to automatically fill it into the "Describe your ad idea" field on the left panel.

Add your own idea

Have a rough idea but want AI to help refine it? Click Add my idea at the top of the suggestions panel. Type your idea, and AI will fine-tune it into a detailed creative idea tailored to your product.

Get more ideas

Want to explore other directions? Click More ideas at the top of the suggestions panel to generate a fresh set of alternative suggestions.

4. Customize your settings

Use the bottom bar to fine-tune your results before generating.

Brand Kit (optional)

Select a Brand Kit to apply your logo, colors, and fonts automatically.

Aspect ratio

Choose the ratio that fits your ad platform:

• Meta (Facebook, Instagram feed): 1:1, 4:5
• Stories, Reels, TikTok: 9:16
• Google Display, YouTube: 16:9, 1.91:1
• LinkedIn: 1:1, 1.91:1

More ratios are available in the selector.

Number of creatives

Select how many creative variations to generate.

5. Generate and save your creatives

1. Review your prompt, product image, reference ad, and settings.
2. Click Generate.
3. Wait a few minutes while AI generates your ad creatives.
4. Click bookmark icon to save the creative in your library, or click Download to export it as an image ready for any ad platform.
