How to find and choose reference ads

Find the right reference ads for your next campaign using the Ad Library and Ad Spy.

Click Ad library or Ad spy in the left navigation to get started.

1. Where to start looking for reference ads

There are two ways to find reference ads for your creatives:

Ad Library: a curated collection of 6,000+ proven templates organized by industry, theme, and season. Start here if you want ready-to-use ad structures.
Ad Spy: search top Meta ads by keyword or brand. Start here if you want to see what's working in your niche.

Once you find an ad you like, you can save it to your library or use it directly as a template in Ad Clone

2. Find inspiration in the Ad Library

a. Browse and search for ads

Start with the Winning ads tab to get personalized suggestions based on your product and find what you need.

Click Select product in the top left corner to choose a product from your library or add a new one
The library filters to show ads that match your product type

Search for specific ad styles

Know what you're looking for? Use the search bar at the top, type a product or style (e.g., "skincare," "sale banner") to find matching templates.

Select a product and click the search bar to see Suggested searches tailored to your product. AI generates relevant terms so you can find matching ads faster

Use advanced filters

Click the filter icon to open the filter panel on the left side. You can filter by:

Product: select or change your product
Ad theme: filter by creative structure
Aspect ratio: match your ad platform (1:1, 9:16, 4:5, 16:9, and more)
Industry: filter by product category
Seasonal: find ads for specific campaigns (Summer Sale, Back to School, and more)

Click Apply to update results, or Clear all to reset all filters.

Use Trending in the top right to sort results by what's popular.

Use Sort by in the top right to organize your results. Try Trending to see what's popular, or Newest to catch fresh templates.

b. Save ad, find similar ads or use ad as a reference

Found an ad that fits your campaign? Hover over it to see your options:

Click Bookmark icon to save the ad template to your library for later
Click 🔍 icon to see similar ads
Click Clone to clone a reference ad

Bookmark ads you like to keep your inspiration organized. You can go to My library → Saved ads and use them as templates anytime.

c. Manage your own library

Click the My library tab to access your personal collection:

Saved ads: bookmarked ads from the Winning ads library
Generated creatives: creatives you've generated
Recent uploads: ad templates you've uploaded from outside Promer

3. Discover top-performing ads with Ad Spy

Ad Spy gives you access to top Meta ads across brands and categories. Search by keyword to explore ad styles, or browse by brand to see what's performing.

Type a keyword or brand name in the search bar.
Select a country from the dropdown if needed.
Click Search to see results.

Get personalized suggestions

Promer suggests search keywords and shows active brands based on your products and niche.

Switch between Top brands and Similar brands to explore different inspiration. Click View all ads on any brand to see their full ad library.

To get personalized suggestions, make sure you have at least one product in Promer. Connect to your Shopify store or learn how to add products.
