1. What is Video Ad Clone
Video Ad Clone helps you apply the structure of a proven video ad to your own product, so you can create high-performing video ads without starting from a blank page.
With Video Ad Clone you can:
- Clone any winning ad structure, from hook to CTA, and apply it to your product
- Get an AI compatibility check that tells you how well your product fits the ad you picked
- Generate a scene-by-scene script, then turn each scene into a video clip

2. Select your product
Click Select product to choose the product you want to create a video ad for.
- Switch between Shopify products and Added products to find the product you want to use. Use Search products to search by name.
- Click the product to select it.
- Choose the product images to use in your ad (up to 30 images).
Tips for choosing product images
Your images directly affect how well the AI can recreate your product in the video. Keep these in mind when selecting:
- Use clear product views. Side, back, top, 3/4, bottom, and front views all help the AI understand your product's shape.
- Avoid people and busy scenes. Skip model shots, human faces, and images where the product is obscured.

3. Choose your reference video ad
Click Select video to browse ads you can clone, or click Upload video to use your own.
Browse from Ad library
- Promer shows ads related to your product automatically. Use the search bar to narrow results, or browse Video ads.
- Click Clone on the ad you want to use as your reference.

Bring in an ad from outside Promer
Found a winning ad on Meta, Pinterest, or another website? Add the Promer Chrome extension to clone it directly, then bring it into Promer.
Upload your own video
Already have a video you want to use as a reference? Click Upload video to add it directly.
4. Review the compatibility check
Once you've selected your product and reference video, Promer analyzes the ad and checks how well it fits your product.
Result | What it means |
|---|---|
Product matches this ad | The ad's hook and structure fit your product well. You can move forward with confidence. |
Product may not fit this ad | The ad's message or format may not translate naturally to your product. Read the explanation, then decide whether to continue or choose a different reference ad. |
Click View ad details to see the full reference ad before deciding. When you're ready, click Generate script.

5. Generate and edit your script
Promer breaks the reference ad into scenes and writes a script for your product — typically a hook, problem, solution, feature, and closing scene.
Each scene shows:
- Visual description: what the camera shows
- Audio description: the lip-synced/voiceover line for that scene
Click View details on any scene to edit it further.

Set up your video
Before generating, use the bottom bar to choose:
- Avatar: the presenter shown in your video
- Voice: the voiceover style
- Background music: turn on or off
Avatar and voice are locked once clip generation starts, so confirm your choices before you continue.
Fine-tune a scene
- Edit the audio description to change the voiceover line. Word count is shown so you can keep it within the scene's timing.
- Review the prompt Promer generates from your inputs — this is what drives the final clip.
- Check the images used for the scene. If an image is missing, click Select image to choose one from your product photos, or Generate to create one with AI.

When every scene is ready, click Generate full video
6. Generate clips and render your video
Click Generate full video to generate every scene and combine them into one finished video in a single step.
Prefer more control? Generate scenes one at a time instead:
- Open a scene and click Generate clip.
- Repeat for each scene. Once every scene shows Generated, you'll see a confirmation that your clips are ready to combine.
- Click Go to render video.
- Turn Background music on or off, then click Render video.
Either way, your finished video appears in the preview player, with a thumbnail strip showing each scene below it.
Click Download to save your video, ready to post on any ad platform.
